During this coil vessel project I learned how to use coils of clay to build a structure. For some reason I had to smooth out the sides of my bowl which seemed to defeat the purpose of using coils but it worked all in all. I didn't have many struggles with this assignment other than getting the coils the correct size. I chose to use blue gray glaze on the inside of the bowl and hot tamale on the outside.

For this slab box I ran into a lot of issues that I had to overcome and engage and persist. First the walls of the box cracked from being on the heat register, so I had to redo them. Then the walls I slipped together cracked back open after drying, so I had to re-slip them. Lastly I forgot to cut the top off to make the lid, so I ended up just forming a lip underneath the top slab and used it as a lid. I used tiger tail and bright orange for glazes and I really wish I wouldn't have done tiger tail. I don't like how it turned out.
This Texture roller was fairly easy to make, I tried to envision how the design would look on paper and I honestly wish I would've chose a different design. I have yet to figure out how the design looks in its final form after being fired.
I used Shiny black and Dutch blue glazes. Everything went smooth except right before I was going to get it fired I forgot to put a hole in the middle so I had to use a exacto knife to cut a hole. I had to engage and persist. The sphere turned out very well and I used a creative design to go all the way around it.
